Sub-Style Name:American-Style Strong Pale Ale
Origin:North American
Description:American strong pale ales range from deep golden to copper in color. The style is characterized by American-variety hops used to produce high hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma. American pale ales have medium body and low to medium maltiness. Low caramel character is allowable. Fruity-ester flavor and aroma should be moderate to strong. Diacetyl should be absent or present at very low levels. Chill haze is allowable at cold temperatures.
Alcohol By Weight (by Volume):4.4-5% (5.5-6.3%)
Colour:6-14 (12-28 EBC)
Original Gravity:1.050-1.060 (12.5-15 šPlato)
Final Gravity:1.008-1.016 (2-4 šPlato)
